The History Trust of South Australia is seeking to employ a Web Administrator.

Role Purpose/Context:

The History Trust operates three museums – the Migration Museum, the National Motor Museum and the South Australian Maritime Museum. Complementing those established museums is the Centre of Democracy – an exciting new collaboration with the State Library of South Australia. We also partner with other Australian museums to present exhibitions. In support of South Australia’s community history network of committed volunteer associations and local history specialists, we manage a Community Museums Program and offer annual grants for research and writing to promote the value of history and our place in the world.

The Web Administrator reports to the Manager, Digital Engagement, and works closely with the Web Developer on systems administration, data management, maintenance of software, and contribution to design, development and maintenance of digital projects.

 Key Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated skill in website development and content management systems including Drupal and WordPress
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HTML, Javascript, CSS, PHP
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software development lifecycles, code source repositories (bitbucket), web servers, and hosting, domain and DNS records management
  • Demonstrated ability to work with APIs

Special Conditions

This is a contract/term vacancy up to 12 months. Some out of hours work may be required. Engagement in this role is subject to a satisfactory Department for Communities and Social Include Child Related Employment Screening. Intrastate and interstate travel may be required.
