Baha'i Heritage, Migration and Global Community

Presented by the Baha’i Council for South Australia

11 December 2011 to 24 February 2012

The Baha’i faith was founded by Baha’u’llah in Persia during the 1860s and has been practiced in Australia since the 1920s.  There are now more than 17,000 registered Baha’is across Australia, who come from diverse religious, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.

This exhibition provides visitors with an opportunity to learn more about South Australia’s Baha’i community, the history of their faith and how they practice it here.  It also highlights the connections between South Australian Baha’is and the global Baha’i community, which has more than 7 million members worldwide.
