The History Trust of SA extends its congratulations to Chief Executive, Greg Mackie OAM, on his provisional election to the Adelaide City Council. Mr Mackie was successful in winning the Central Ward by-election with results announced on 13 May by the SA Electoral Commission.

Chair of Trustees, Elizabeth Ho OAM, said today, “As Chair of the History Trust of SA and on behalf of all Trustees, I extend warm congratulations to our CEO Greg Mackie on his election to the Adelaide City Council. Many will benefit from Greg’s abiding interest in the cultural growth and wellbeing of our city, not to mention a track record in building confidence, consensus and finding solutions.

“The Trust itself does a lot for the cultural advancement of the city and the state through its museums, education programs and community history effort,” Ms Ho said. “I believe I can say on behalf of the Trust team that we are all proud that our CEO has had such a strong endorsement from so many for his leadership qualities.”

Greg’s role as CEO of The History Trust remains unchanged. He will continue to champion South Australia’s cultural heritage and proud history of innovation and reform through The History Trust museums including The Migration Museum in the city, SA Maritime Museum at Port Adelaide, the iconic National Motor Museum at Birdwood, the Centre of Democracy and South Australia’s annual History Festival.
