Collab is a joint venture between the South Australian Museum, the History Trust of South Australia, the State Library of South Australia and the Art Gallery of South Australia to promote the discovery of their digital collections. Collab supports innovation, new knowledge and entrepreneurship across Adelaide’s cultural precinct and showcases our digital expertise to the world.
Collab has a physical ‘Lab’ space located within the premises of the South Australian Museum, which is connected to the GigCity Adelaide ultra-fast internet network. This co-working office space provides a physical catalyst for cross-institutional and interdisciplinary research and practice at the intersection of culture, technology, the creative industries and the South Australian tech startup ecosystem.
In 2020 Collab launches its inaugural Digital Cultural Fellowship to promote experimentation in new digital interfaces and experiences that bring together the rich digital collections of South Australia’s cultural institutions.
Join us online to talk all things Fellowship-related and take the opportunity to speak with collection specialists from our 4 institutions. We will run through the Fellowship criteria and requirements and answers all your questions about the application process.
