Opened for South Australia’s centenary in 1936, the Torrens Parade Ground building was designed in the Stripped Classical style. The site was previously used as a government quarry, an unofficial rubbish tip and a mustering and enlistment point for the two world wars. As part of the 2019 History Festival Open Doors program, come along and hear about the history of this interesting Adelaide building.
